I have been licensed to practice law in Missouri since 1995. Since that time, I have worked in a variety of capacities in the the private, non-profit and public sectors.  All of my professional experience has helped me become an effective litigator in my own private practice, which I founded in 2008.  I love what I do, and my passion for my job helps me help you!

I am client-focused, which means I organize my practice around your needs:

  • I have evening and weekend appointments available.
  • My office is conveniently located in downtown Moberly.
  • I use a client-management system which allows you 24/7 secure access to your electronic case file.
  • I accept a variety of payments, including cash, checks and credit cards.  I also have flat fees and payment programs available for some matters.

I grew up in Macon and currently reside in Moberly with my husband Matt, his children, our two dogs and two cats.  I'm a past board member of Macon United Methodist Church, Macon Economic Development, Macon Downtown Association, Long Branch Area YMCA, Macon Public Library and University of Missouri Small Business Advisory Board.  I'm also a member of the Missouri Bar Association.

In my free time, I love to travel, read, cook and spend time with my family, friends and pets.

  • University of Missouri, B.S. Economics & Sociology (minor Political Science), with honors (1991)
  • University of Missouri, M.S., Community Development (1994)
  • University of Missouri, J.D. (1995), admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1995

Prior to focusing on my private law practice, I worked for the University of Missouri Social Sciences Unit, University of Missouri Department of Agricultural Economics, the Missouri Department of Agriculture and other employers.  As part of my work in the agricultural industry, I also served on the Citizens Advisory Commission on Marketing Missouri Agricultural Products and was an advisor to the Governor's Task Force on Agriculture.  I also owned a consulting firm which provided assistance to start-up, farmer-owned businesses.

I was listed on the Missouri Bar Association's Pro Bono Wall of Fame in 2010, 2012 and 2013 for providing pro bono legal services to persons who cannot afford to hire an attorney. I also received the Missouri Jaycees Outstanding Young Missourian Award in 2004 and the International Community Development Society Graduate Student Achievement Award in 1995.
